Polyacetals POM
Polyacetals are types of technical plastic. Their favorable properties include:
- good dimensional accuracy
- high level of hardness rigidity and stability
- good durability and resistance to chemicals
- favorable sliding and wearing characteristics
which makes them suitable alternatives to metallic materials in many applications.
Polyacetals are divided into two categories according to their chemical composition:
Typical POM applications include:
- Parts used in engineering and vehicle manufacturing such as gears, control disks, impellers, bearings, and slide elements
- Parts in domestic appliances
- Precision engineering (depending on the manufacturing process, POM can permit extremely small wall thicknesses)
