ROBATEC® sealing units
Stabilizers / sealing units in the dry section provide optimized web guidance in the particularly sensitive area of the first dry section in the paper machine. They selectively control and reduce the load placed on the yet-to-be-dried paper web as it is separated from the cylinder. As well as reducing the tension on the paper, the stabilizers / sealing units also increase the web path resistance to deviations in the humidity profile or minor disruptions within the edge section; the overall result being a quieter process and reduction in the number of tears. A reduction in paper web tension and increase in speed can be achieved simultaneously.
